Several Fire/Chief Officers spent several hours cleaning the cab and cabinets of Engine 57.

November 24th:

Bloomsburg Lights Up the Night Parade

On Friday, November 24, 2017, 5 members started decorating Engine 57 to attend the Bloomsburg Lights Up the Night Parade in Bloomsburg. 5 members along with the family members attended the event and had a great time doing it.

This is the 3rd year the Catawissa Hose Company has attended the event. We always have a great time.

October 31st:

Catawissa Halloween Trick or Treat

Several members gathered at the Fire Station to hand out glow sticks to the children, even Sparky attended and helped hand out the glow sticks.












October 28th:

Catawissa Halloween Parade

On Saturday October 28, 2017, 2 members participated in escorting the Catawissa Halloween Parade Committee down Main Street in Catawissa collecting donations for the Catawissa Halloween Parade in Squad 51.

Post the Parade, 2 members took Brush 54 up to "The Bluff" while the fireworks were being set off. Montour Township Fire Department, with Brush 243, assisted by positioning themselves on the Catawissa Bridge over the Susquehanna River.










October 11th:

Fire Prevention at G.C. Hartman Elementry

On Wednesday October 11, 2017, 9 members attended the Fire Prevention Day, and met with Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade. We discussed with them the following:

Basic Tools and Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC)
Importance of Smoke Alarms
Importance of Creating a Meeting Place incase of fire
The Gear Fire Fighter's Gear
Stop, Drop, Cover Eyes, and Roll
Met with Sparky the Fire Dog

Also in attendance was the Elysburg Fire Department, Elysburg EMS, Ralpho Fire Department, and Valley Chemical Fire Co., Numedia.
